The conference focused on providing a forum for researchers and key industry leaders to share insights regarding the use of human tissue in basic research, diagnostics, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry.
The use of human tissue and human tissue based models in cancer research and drug development has grown dramatically. This trend is driven by an increasing need to personalize treatments to fit the molecular profile of a patient’s disease. By illuminating key proteomics and genomic differences, human tissue based models will continue to be key contributors to the development of new diagnostic tools and treatments for cancer.
