Asterand announces Martyn Coombs as Chief Executive Officer

Following yesterday's announcement of the appointment of Martyn Coombs as a director and Chief Executive Officer of Asterand plc, the Company today announces that Randal Charlton has resigned as a director and Chief Executive Officer.

David Lee, Chairman of Asterand plc commented "As a founder of Asterand, Randal had a vision for the use of human tissue-based research to improve the effectiveness of drug discovery which has been key to the growth of the Company. On behalf of the Board, I thank Randal for his strong contribution and commitment to the Company over the past seven years".

Martyn Coombs, CEO added "I am delighted that Randal has agreed to continue his association with Asterand as an advisor. His knowledge of the sector and contacts within government and academic institutions will continue to add value to the Company".
