Target Validation

An XpressWay® Profile report will display the complete expression of a single target in a number of human tissues. In the example below, the expression of Eotaxin 3 is shown in four human respiratory tissues.

XpressWay® Profiles may be used for a range of GPCRs in select tissues, such as human CNS tissue. XpressWay® Profiles are currently available for ~300 GPCRs. In the example below, the GPR57 gene expression is prevalent in nervous tissues as highlighted.

XpressWay® Profiles may also be used to express a single gene across all 72 human tissues, such as MMP12, which is shown in the example below.

Characterization and Validation of Research Antibodies
XPressWay® Profiles are valuable in confirming or recommending the most advantageous positive control tissues for validation and characterization of research antibodies. When unsure of a target's expression in human tissues, XpressWay® profiles are used to select an optimal positive control tissue

Many times a customer's antibody may be raised against an other tissue type not previously considered

Additional value is gained with confirmation of the best tissue of choice for target expression and an increased likelihood of a successful antibody validation assay

Safety Profiling
XpressWay® Profiles are valuable tool to identify expression of toxicology related genes in tissues which may be associated with potential side-effect liabilities. This data set example below represents that the expression of CYP3A4.
