Tissue Cross-Reactivity Pre-screening with Tissue Microarrays
|
 |
Asterand's Molecular Pathology team conducts client-sponsored TCR Screening services, performed using the same IHC techniques and tissue types as those used in any subsequent GLP study (also provided by Asterand). The advantage of this screening approach is the ability to assess, in a cost-effective way, panels of biotherapeutic agents, advancing only those exhibiting the desired results.
- Assay up to 36 tissues recommended by both the FDA and EMA
- Twelve tissue types, 3 donors and duplicate cores per frozen Tissue Microarray (TMA)
- 3 TMAs in total, each of 72 cores (excluding orientation cores)
- Rapid assessment of binding of biotherapeutic agents
- Enhanced confidence in application of validated protocol identified from Phase 1a prior to GLP
- Cost-effective way to make a confident decision regarding progression of a biotherapeutic to GLP
- Minimize likelihood of GLP study failure
Frozen TMA set An example of a frozen TMA set. Each set is comprised of three arrays. Each array has 12 non-diseased human tissues, each in duplicate from three donors. The frozen TMA set includes the 36 tissues recommended for cross reactivity screening by the FDA and EMA.
